Bullying Telkom mobile
Ever made paid for a service you didn't sign up for? Yes that's what is expected of me by Telkom mobile. So somebody out there, rocked up at a Telkom store in Durban and took up a cellphone contract under my name. I reported this issue to Telkom immediately and they send me to one of their stores. I went to the store (21/06/2018) immediately and all they did was to log a call (I think) so that someone from their forensics unit can call me and take it from there. No one called me. Went back to the store (23/062018), same all same all. Logged a call again and eventually someone called me and listened to my story. He requested my documents and an affidavit which I happily send. He came back to me to say I must go back to the store with my documents. Went back to a different store (04/07/2018) and insisted that they take them and do something. Cut the story short, I still don't know what's the latest as I still don't have a reference number.
All I know is that I'm now bul**** to pay R674 which I didn't sign up for until they complete their investigation. I must also point out that I have an existing contract with them which I always pay very month via a debit order. My efforts of asking to pay what I normal pay only and not pay the R674 have all failed. I was told that if I don't pay it they will close all my Telkom lines. This is money I need and who know how long the investigation will take. Somebody boldly mentioned to me that investigations can take even minimum 3 months. Hurts because the "agreement" which I received by e-mail has everything wrong about it. The address is wrong, ID no and date of birth don't relate at all, signature isn't mine, proof of address submitted by the person is an address in KZN when I'm in JHB.
