Broken line, broken service, broken attitudes!
Several months ago I logged a fault on my landline - through which I also connect to the internet.
Fault log 401CRK040815

After several months of escalating the same issue with no feedback whatsoever, Telkom suspended the line.

I once again escalated the matter and threatened to turn to Consumer Protection Services for assistance, only then did I actually receive feedback. A portion of the charges were reversed, the line reinstated and a technician deployed. Within days, the line went down again. It literally connects for a few minutes and then disconnects, and when it is working the phone line is so bad I cannot hear the caller.

I immediately logged a report and was told I needed a new reference:
Fault log 339CRK151015

It is more than 4 weeks since, I have escalated, called, emailed and SMS's but received no feedback from Telkom. I called from work again this morning and am told the line is suspended as of today and no technician will be sent until payment received for a line which has not worked in all this time.

I asked to speak to the supervisor and why no technician was sent when the line was paid up four weeks ago. As I type this I have been put on hold for 63 mins..
