Broken Device

In July 2016 I bought a Samsung A3 from the Telkom Store in clear water mall, (besides the fact that since i did a number port i now NEVER have signal) The phone immediately started giving me problems and I took it back to the Telkom store in September 2016 (3 Months after I had received it). The phone was working for about 2 weeks and I reported the issues it was giving me again, In december i wanted to take it back and the "Repairs Dept" was closed and would only open in January. I did not get a chance to go through to the store until I requested my proof of contract last week, The lady who assisted me at Telkom Clear water was very friendly, I told her i will not come to the store as it was out of my way and this is a BROKEN PHONE THAT WAS SOLD TO ME FROM THE GET GO, (Please bear in mind that i also pay for insurance) .... The phone was giving me the same problems it initially gave me, and i was advised that if the fault lies with me i would need to pay for it, which i would not do as this is an on going issue, the samsung A3 must have been part of a bad batch but i refuse to pay for a phone that will surely come back with the same problems. I WANT TELKOM TO GIVE ME A NEW PHONE OR REFUND ME FOR THE MONTHS OF HEADACHE THEY HAVE GIVEN ME. I am now sitting with no phone, had to use my siblings phone and i was advised to wait for 7 - 28 working days, for a broken phone THEY sold to me?????? PATHETIC IF YOU ASK ME.

Hi Bron,

kindly provide us with the repairs job number you got from the store when booking the device for repairs or you will have to book the device for our repairs center to determine if you qualify for a new device or not.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Hi Launa;
Due to the fact that I do not have a stable phone I am using, I no longer have the SMS that was sent through to me for the phone being booked in. Your response does not help me at all! My phone was booked in last week and to date I have had no update, Going back and forth does not help me, You are still going to deduct money from my account although I do not have my phone. Please find a way to resolve this!

My cell number is ***.
Track this with the Southgate or clear water branch. NOT a single person contacted me to advise me on the progress of my phone. If i do not log onto hello peter i cannot see if i received a response BECAUSE TELKOM SOLD ME A BROKEN PHONE AND I NOW DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY EMAILS EITHER!!!!!!!!!!!
