Breach of contract

It is time that Telkom goes bankrupt like all the other para-statals so that all those *********** workers are without jobs. Like Jacob. working at 10210 who refused to reset my line because I'm a tenant, not an owner.

We have had this ADSL line for one year now. We pay R800 for 8Mbs, but that has never happened. The line is regularly down. Earlier this year, Telkom 'fixed' the line and we had 4Mbs for a few days, but then it went back to 0.07MBS. The last 3 months, the line has been down most of the time. We call every day to have the line reset. When it is done, the speed goed back to 0.07Mbs - when we pay R800 for 8Mbs. PATHETIC TELKOM!!!!

Last month we decided to upgrade to Fibre because we are so sick and tired of the ADSL line being either completely off, or extremely slow - not what we pay for. But now Telkom refuses to install our fibre. We wait and wait and wait - but Telkom refuses to install our fibre.

If we stop paying, Telkom will sue us for breach of contract - but they are free to breach the contract on a daily basis. Never deliver on their promises, never doing what they get paid for. How long will this go on??

There is only one future for a business like Telkom and all their *********** employees - down, down, down. As soon as this contract with Telkom expires, I will never use Telkom again. Thank God there are other providers coming into the market. If I can choose, I will never call Telkom again, wait forever in a line before my call is answered and then speak to a person who does not want to do anything at all. I can't wait for those people to be unemployed. Telkom think they have the right to ***** from their customers - but this cannot go on forever.

26A Fifth street, Menlo Park, number **********

Telkom ignored my fault reports for 3 months. After I reported their breach of contract and incompetence on Hello Peter, they started paying attention to my complaint, but it took them more than a month to restore the service. I had no service for a total of four months. They refunded R130 to compensate for the times I did not have service. Pathetic - taken into consideration that I paid R800 per month for 4 months = R3200 for not receiving service.

I still hope Telkom goes bankrupt for *****ing from their customers and I cannot wait for this contract to run out so I can choose a different service provider.
