breach of a cellphone contract and cancellation
During July 2014, I entered into a cellphone contract with Telkom mobile in respect of a Samsung tablet. Few months later, the tablet started giving me problems. It was freezing. during the last week of November 2014, I took it to Telkom in 320 for repairs. I went back to the shop during December 2014,. I went back in January and I was told that the tablet had a problem with a battery and they gave me a quote to pay for repairs as the battery was not covered under warranty. In terms of clause 56 of the contract between myself and Telkom there's an imp**** warranty that within 6 months after delivery, the customer may return the goods to the supplier without penalty and at the supplier's risk and expense. I told the consultant about the clause, and gave him a copy of the receipt and he fax it to the repair centre. By end of January I did not receive nay feedback. I had to go to Telkom's offices each and very time to get feedback and I did not get any contact from them. The purchase receipt was faxed twice to repairs centre but there was no feedback. During February 2015, I cancelled the contract. But they still deducted my account till now the contract is active and have been handed
