Bogus Rejection Fee & Poor Customer Service Leads to Account Interruption
on the 20th of March when I received my Tax invoice for April 2020 I realized that I was charged rejection fees of R202.70. The latter happened because I paid my monthly payment in advance and manually 0n the 28th of March 2020,my bank account was having ******* debit orders deducted and busy sorting that with m bank. When Telkom did the regular deduction on 30th March 2020,I rejected the debit order as I had already paid manually hence the rejection fee.
Due to this a billing complaint was lodged disputing the charges via online Telkom Chat as I could not get hold of the call centre agents. I did not receive an response or phone call in relation to my dispute but a Case number ***5.Since I did not get any response the following month I continued to pay my regular installment excluding the R202.70 and I then received an Tax invoice stating that I am due to pay R0.00, I was puzzled tried to contact them to enquire about this invoice I could not get hold of any agents due to Corona.
Last night I received an SMS saying "Your service has been interrupted, plse contact the 8.ta call centre on 081 180.Regards 8.ta Team".They then forwarded me a new Case Number:***1 and terminated all my services.I have been trying to contact them through chanels and I can't get hold of them. I am now stranded with no data to finish my project and no minutes to make calls.
Being a Telkom customer is becoming frustrating now ,I have been a customer for more than 5 years but things are getting worse.
