Blatant disregard for a consumer service cancellation request

I submitted a Consumer Request for Contract Cancellation back on the 17th April 2016 as i have immigrated to Bahrain and no longer reside in South Africa. In my original request to have the service cancelled i said i would pay for any outstanding costs for the router however i would like the service terminated as it is against the CPA to charge for a service not being utilized.

As of today, I am yet to receive any formal response from Telkom, even though i was warned it could take 20 working days (unreal), its now been 4 months almost to the day and i have not received any formal response from any department, yet the debit orders keep coming off.

I have contacted Telkom via Twitter to both the @TelkomZa and @HelloTelkom handles and i can quite confidently say that i have been sent the following message at least 10 times over the past 3 months while querying: "Hi, Sorry for your inconvenience. We will get our team to follow up on this query for you. Thank you". This has to be the worst possible service i have ever experienced, its blatant disregard for the request in an effort to keep charging, and i know i'm not the first person as its all over Hello Peter.

I have since cancelled and reversed all Telkom debit orders to my account out of principle for Telkom simply not acknowledging my request yet they happy to keep charging. And even though i have blocked Telkom debit ordeers they find sneaky ways of ensuring the accrued amount keeps coming off. The next step is to seek legal advice as this cannot go on much longer, this is bordering on theft now.

I look forward to yout response.

Can i record this as the 11th time i have been told that over the past 4 months?
