Blacklisted despite cancelled account

I requested that Telkom cancel my account in December 2014. I was reassured that my account was cancelled but had to pay two more bills (final one February 2015). I kept receiving account statements until June but was reassured that these were in error and that my account was cancelled. I have now been threatened by the IDP and placed on a blacklist. I am now totally unsure of what to do and I would like assistance in this regard.
