Black Friday deal - Order cancelled

Good Day,

So I had app**** for the Telkom Black Friday deal for the Samsung J7 Pro or the Huawei P10 Lite for R199. I went through the full online process, and received an email confirmation that an agent will contact me within 48 hours. Next day I received another email confirming that my order had been placed and the credit vetting process will commence and the agent will call me to finalise the order. A few days later I received a call back, however I was driving and told the agent to call me back in the next hour - No call was received. I had only received a call back about a week later asking if I was still interested in the deal, which I was, and we went through the final process of validation and signing up. The Sales agent confirmed that I do qualify for the deal and my package will be received in the next 5 to 7 working days. Around the 5th day I received an SMS stating that my order has been declined during credit vetting. An agent calls me a little while later confirming if I have been called about my order, I addressed the SMS response. He pulls information about the order, and the reasoning for the declining of the order was that Telkom could not validate my working credentials.

This is an unacceptable response for cancelling my order. I have done online signups for contracts before and had no issue validating my work details.

The agent went on that I do qualify for a Topup contract but not an open line contract - What nonsense is this? My current contract is open line, my previous contract was open line - these are with other Service Providers and no issues to report.

I've had an opportunity with the many service providers out there running fantastic Black Friday deals, and I chose you guys to be my preferred SP. I am very disappointed with the result, almost makes me believe that you guys were running a ****f deal just to get high hits on your site, go through the application process just to offer a normal deal. If I wanted normal, I would have app**** at any other day.

And not to mention the calls I've made to get further assistance which was just a waste of time as you just sit on the line and wait or being told to call another department.

Is there any outcome on this? Or is it forgotten?
