Billing Ping-Pong and poor service

Horrible Service, still not sorted 3 months later, avoid using Telkom if you can help it.

I ordered a new "Unlimited Home 20Mbps" Fibre service in April. I was billed two days later, for usage immediately, so there is no such thing as free installation as you are billed for a service you do not have, which was only available a month later. There is a voice service attached, but no extension line with termination box was installed, so mostly unusable.

Billing : I have been billed incorrectly since the beginning. I am billed for a fibre service and Telkom Internet (uncapped) seperately, which adds up to R1600. However I requested an "Unlimited Home 20Mbps" installation which should be R1008. Billing says I must phone Sales to correct the package designation. I phoned Sales, they say on their system the package is correctly reflect. Phone Billing, no I must phone sales and get a reference no, showing that Sales have changed it. But Sales don't have anything to change !

Why must I play ***-pong between the two departments - crazy! And I cannot get Sales to correct anything as Sales say it is correct ! Billing won't do anything about it. So I must phone in every month and log a dispute. This is ridiculous !!!

What makes it worse is that the call centre response time is **********. So you want me to hang on for 30 mins before an answer (I call early in the morning, so that's why it is quite short), whilst playing ping-pong between departments (different phone numbers, cannot transfer between them). One of the factors for poor call centre response times, is that it takes so long for anything to happen - I was talking to the agent for 25 mins to log an installation for voice extension cable. How can it take so long to do ?!

Come on Telkom, sort out this billing mess. I cannot do it as Sales says it is fine and billing say Sales must fix it.

Well the billing did get sorted out for the August bill, I let it run again for September to see if it actually was sorted out and August was not a fluke. Seems to be OK now. Well done Telkom, but why did it take so much of my time to sort out ?!
