1. Billing Account Number ( ********** 75) 2. Annaliese Rix 3. Huawei sim: ********** 481 4. The Better Big Deal: 15GB for R199 (10GB + 5GB night surfer). 5. Cancelled contract on 29/08/2016 (as per advice from person that sold the contract to us) 6. On average four times (random dates) per month random amounts deducted (Telkom) from my Standard Bank account - contract states "... submitted to your bank for payment on your debit order date". 7. Numerous telephone calls and visits to Telkom Store, Centurion Mall 8. Standard Bank (Mall @Reds Service Centre) on three occasions confirmed that they can't do anything about it: "The Telkom guys are clever, they just change the reference number" Date Activity 20/08/2016 Mailed Christian Naude ********** (person that sold the package) and phoned him mentioning frustrations inclusive of intermittent signal; speed (after modem was replaced with "newer" model. He physically came to our address, confirmed poor performance and committed to emailing us the cancellation forms 24/08/2016 Received “Consumer Request for Contract and Service Cancellation” per mail from Christian Naude ********** 29/08/2016 Mailed completed “Consumer Request for Contract and Service Cancellation” awa ID document to ********** ********** 01/05/2017 Received invoice re Recurring Monthly Fees: R 1,094.34 24/05/2017, 10:12 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Your case number is ********** 4" 25/05/2017 Forwarded “Consumer Request for Contract and Service Cancellation” (see 29/08/2016) to ********** 25/05/2017, 14:57 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Your case number is ********** 1" 19/07/2017, 11 :13 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Your case number is ********** 7. Regards. Telkom." 19/07/2017, 14:33 SMS: "Dear Customer, your query is being attended to. Your case number is ********** 8. Regards, Telkom". 31/07/2017 Telkom appointed contractor physically came to address to test performance: verbally confirmed poor performance (speed and Ping) 16/08/2017, 10:08 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Your case number is ********** 8" 10/10/2017, 07:54 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Your case number is ********** 5" 10/10/2017, 07:54 SMS: "Your query will be attended to. Please assist with cancelling this account as the contract wasn’t working appropriately for the customer". 3) Date: 26 May 2017 at 14:58: Received e-mail From: Mobile Retention Escalations <***> Subject: RE: [***] Q-Buster Request for: Annaliese Rix, *** Please accept our sincere apologies on any inconvenience caused and the delayed response to your email. Please note that we are still waiting for feedback from our technicians with regards to signal problem in your area as cancelling your contract without feedback from technicians will result in you being charged early termination penalty fees. Keagan, it is now a month later, and we have received any further response...other than this past Saturday : "Dear Customer, we have noticed that your Telkom Mobile account is overdue, which is due to non-payment or a payment being declined by your bank. Kindly make a payment within 48 hours to prevent the interruption of your service. Please call our call centre on 081 180 and quote reference ********** 08 with payment details".

I finally decided to submit a complaint to ICASA (https://www.icasa.org.za/pages/consumer-complaints-procedure). Completed Consumer Complaints Form and detailed record of interactions with service provider (Telkom)....SOLVED within 5 working days!!!!!! Brilliant ICASA
