Billed for ADSL contract that was cancelled
I have a longstanding problem with Telkom which started on 30/12/14 when we signed up for a 2 year 10Mbps ADSL contract. However, TELKOM has not been able to deliver 10 Mbps linespeed at my house. The maximum that I can get is apparently 1.8 Mbps due to the distance from the exchange, although my area is given as a 10Mbps area on Telkom's website. Therefore we requested the contract to be cancelled, since TELKOM is the party that is not able to fulfil its part of the contract. The contract was cancelled on 15/01/15 and the reference number is ***. (One of the many other reference numbers related to this problem is 44CTK130115).

Why do you still bill me for the contract amount? I visited my nearest Telkom Direct store on 18/02/15 and they confirmed that the contract was cancelled and that everything was sorted out. Got my new account yesterday - once again charged for a service that I don't get.

Anxiously hoping to hear from you to resolve this problem.
