BIASED IRRATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDER!!!!!

My name is Patrick Mpofu ,lm a Zimbabwean national with a valid work permit passport number CN221937.

l app**** for a contract cellphone with Telkom at the Kyalami Branch in Johannesburg South Africa on the 7th of November 2018.

l just got a response this morning that it has been approved and l need to come in store to collect the device.l was very excited for l really needed the device for l was ****** and don't have a mobile phone.

Upon getting there to collect the device , l was informed that as a foreigner l needed to pay a deposit and l was happy with it till l got the disappointing amount.

The device l app**** for was R699.99 a month for 24 months and l was happy with it as it was my preferential choice.How does it make any mathematical sense to pay an upfront amount of R6500 and pay R699.99 a month for 24 months to get a cell phone when it it possible to buy three standard smartphones with R6500 ( which is the required deposit )

lm terrible upset with that outcome after having to wait for 72 hours to get such a depressing outcome from such a big service provider that l always presumed was there to help people and was for the people.

Its shocking that even the in store great team ( excellent service offered at the store 5 star ) also thought it was very irrational to pay such a deposit to acquire a smart phone.

My opinion about Telkom has changed , l think it's a very irrational company that segregates foreign residents in South Africa from SA Green card holders as it looks like the company strives to make life for the foreign consumers as difficult as possible.

For me l think its an inhuman act to impose such regulations if you want to make every customer happy.

Thanks to Cell C and their friendly staff and flexible regulations that l app**** for the same device and was approved instantly with no deposit whatsoever at a lower monthly payment .
