Beware telkom data roaming on mtn charges

<p>So u got the February "big deal" from telkom delivered to my door. Mobile wifi router with 5gb anytime data etc. Left Cape Town for weekend up the west coast and thing stopped working. Tells me activate roaming and it will work off mtn network. Better make sure, to many ****organisation stories about roaming. So I Google. Sure enough,telkom has a deal with mtn to use their network no additional cost. Or so I thought. I ran up a R300 bill in no time which telkom added to the router as default. Dawn people really. In this day and age. You pull a stunt like that. If you don't have network coverage to be mobile supplier then stick to fixed line. Congrats you caught me. I'm stuck with a 2 year contract wit has limited use because telkom network coverage so poor. </p>
