On Friday morning 26 Jan 2016 a chap from Telkom phoned me at 11.33 from Telkom *** to offer me a promotional upgrade on my ADSL line speed (from 2mb to 4mb), and an increase in monthly cap (from 10gb to 20gb per month), at a promotional increase of R49 extra per month. I asked him to phone me back in the afternoon as I first wanted to discuss it with my wife. I did not write down his name.<br> We are pensioners and decided to accept the offer if he should phone back. But after lunch I had a call from a lady at 13.36, also on the same number, who ran through the whole offer, but this time at an additional monthly cost of R139. When I told her about the first Telkom caller offering the upgrade at R49 extra she wanted to know his name, and stuck to her quote of R139 extra.
