Bent Device not replaced by Telkom Mobile after 8 days!

<p>I have taken a contract with Telkom Mobile on the release of the p9, I was literally the first person to receive the phone from Telkom. 8 Days later my wife noticed the phone was bending. I missed the 7 day window period to return the phone as you could really only notice the bend after placing the phone on a flat surface. After going to the Telkom and explaining my situation I was informed by the sales consultant that I can't be sure that the counter I was showing her the phone was bent on was straight and I was told that the 7 day window period was up and that the phone needs to be sent to Huawei for repairs.</p> <p> </p> <p>After arguing with the consultant that a bent phone can't simply be repaired, I eventually handed in the phone for 'repairs' and was told to come back in 21 days. Today it's been more than a month, I haven't even had the phone for 2 weeks and I've been told by the same consultant that they are actually unsure when the phone is going to be 'repaired' and returned to the store.</p> <p> </p> <p>How can I be paying for a contract without a phone and a contract that hasn't been used? the CPA states that Consumers have up to six months to return faulty or unsafe goods and have a choice between the supplier repairing or replacing these, or refunding you in full, I gave you a chance to 'repair' the device but now my patience has run out. Can I Please get a new device or refund ASAP.</p>
