Being ****** by TELKOM apathy

I sold a property and gave notice of cancellation to Telkom (on the required form) on 6 July 2017. I followed up via email on 22 August 2017. I again followed up on 16 October 2017. I again followed up on 27 February 2018. I followed up a second time on 27 February 2018. I followed up a third time on 27 February 2018. I received 3 response from Telkom on 1 March 2018 stating that the matter was being escalated. I received a phone call stating that the service cancellation and refund was being processed. I received a cancellation reference ********** 25A. I again followed up on 15 March 2018. No response. I visited two separate Telkom shops on separate occasions and both shops told me that they could not help me, but would escalate the matter. I registered on Telkom's online platform and cancelled the service. No response. I also registered a dispute on the Telkom online platform. No response. I have been actively trying to cancel this service for almost 1 year and Telkom are COMPLETELY APATHETIC AND NON RESPONSIVE. The worst part of this is that every month Telkom bill me for the service and take money from my account. I am at my wits end with this disgraceful company.

Bronwyn. Thanks for replying however these are empty words that I have heard so many times before from Telkom. I know that you received my query, in fact I know that you received it over 6 times in the last year, because I sent them to you! Telling me again that the query is received is meaningless. What I need is for you to cancel the line and give me a refund, not repeatedly acknowledge receipt of queries! Each time commitments are made by Telkom, but NOTHING further happens thereafter. This has been going on for almost a year now. It is inconceivable that a company can be so utterly hopeless and remain in business. In addition to this online complaint, this matter has been escalated to ICASA ***/18 and Telkom case ARS:347453
