Being charged more for Telkom Simple Plus
I cancelled my Afrihost internet subscription to change to Telkom after reading about the Telkom Simple Plus Plan. According to what was advertised on the Telkom website, I could get a 4Mbps line, 20GB, land-line with free calls to Telkom land-line numbers between 7pm and 7am, 3G ****le with data per month for R499. I went to the Telkom branch in Vincent Park, East London and signed up for it. They told me that they ran out of stock of the 3G modems but that I could still get the data. Terms and conditions said while stocks last so I was ok with that.

I am being charged R558.77 per month. I've visited the Vincent Park branch several times and other ones but the response is that they can't do anything to help me. How can a deal be advertised on the Telkom website for a specific price and then I get charged something different. On top of that, I've been charged for all Telkom land-line calls made between 7pm and 7am. When I go to the Telkom website I don't even see the Telkom Simple Plus deal any more.

I'm basically exhausted and have no idea what to do. This is blatant cheating and against the Consumer Protection Act
