BEING BILLED AFTER I HAVING CANCELLED MY CONTRACT
To whom it may concern

I had a 24month cellphone contract with Telkom. My contract was due to expire in January 2016 and in December 2015 I contacted the customer care centre and requested the relevant documents to be completed. On the 09.12.2015 I emailed the completed cancellation document to customer care agent and on the 10.12.2015 I emailed cancellation document to [Email Removed] On 11.01.2016 I received a response to say my case has been logged, Case Ref. No. ***1, and that someone will contact me on the progress of my cancellation or alternatively I can call the contact centre to follow up on the status. I received a call from a customer care agent saying that the effective date for my cancellation is only from January 2016 and not December 2015 because there was a system upgrade. THIS WAS NOT MY CONCERN, I followed the necessary process. I was told I will be billed R99 only for a month of February 2016 and I specifically asked if this is the only amount that will be deducted from my bank account. My final bill for Feb 2016 came to over R600 I was charged for existance products of my contract at the current rates. I am livid and am requesting a refund!
