Before Telkom deliver a wifi phone to you, avoid the nonsense and leave them by porting your number to VOIP

I have just gone to the Telkom shop to confirm that I am porting my line to vodacom. Telkom refuses to connect up my landline now that they have given me a wifi phone. VOIP is a system linked to a fiber internet connection that allows one to have a phone line connected. Rather just port away from Telkom and to VOIP, at least you wont have to fight with Telkom whilst those miserable agents in the shop glare at you. Go VOIP people, leave Telkom. Dont let them switch you over to a wifi phone, rather do it yourself
