Been waiting for ADSL since beginning of November

I app**** for ADSL at the beginning of November, which was a hack in itself. They said that they couldn't find my address, even after I described where to find it on Google Maps to the agent, so it took longer than usual for someone to come to install the line. Once they did arrive (my husband had to drive 30 mins from work to meet them), there was a problem with the Telkom line, so they couldn't install the ADSL. I got an sms scheduling the installation for the 16.01.2017, and although it was far later than I expected, it was fine. I got another sms afterwards scheduling the installation for the 14.01.2017, but didn't receive a call from the technician. I got back home on the 02/01/17, and called Telkom 09/01/17, who said that they were there to install the ADSL on the 03/01/17, but we weren't home. Surely that couldn't be the case, as my husband was home and on leave, and I didn't receive any messages. They said that it was scheduled for the 16/01. I called Telkom today (16/01), and they said that I should have a technician coming to install the line. While I was on the phone with Telkom's 10213, my cellphone rang. I couldn't answer it, as I had been waiting for Telkom to answer their line for over 20 mins. I tried to call the number back, but it didn't work. I called Telkom back, and the call centre employee said that they weren't coming today, as they had tried to reach me, but noone answered. I didn't even receive a message. I can't just answer every call I get at work. My phone is usually on silent, as I'm the main person who answers our business line, and the calls I usually receive are BS sales calls from banks and cell companies. If I had received an sms, I would have kept my phone on loud and answered, damn if I'm already on the phone with Telkom. The call centre agent was sympathetic and said that he supervisor, Denzel Naidoo would call back either on my cell, or work line. The work line rang twice, and I heard the background of a call centre, but the person just put the phone down, twice. I'm at odds now. I really want to cancel this contract because of the ******* service I have received, but Telkom has a monopoly in the market, so who else can I get?! The call centre agent said that she couldn't give me the Cape Town office's contact details so I could actually speak to the person arranging this joke of a schedule. I can only sit on the phone for 45 mins trying to get through to an agent, only to have her supervisor call me and hang up (twice). What are my options here?
