BAD SERVICES

I cancelled my Telkom lines, I completed forms and I completed the request online. After a struggle the lines were closed, but now they keep sending an account for arrear amount and if I'm not paying they will list me on the credit bereau. Please explain why must I pay if I'm not using the service anymore???????
