BAD SERVICE FROM USELESS TELKOM

Dear Thusin

I have been thrown from pillar to post over what I consider a simple request. It’s been over a month trying to migrate two numbers 081797*** and 081798**** into pre-paid accounts. I have never enjoyed my relationship with Telkom and this has pushed me over the edge. For six month I have been cancelling my contract but every month large sums of money were deducted from my account. I lived with the inconvenience because I treasured the number allocated to Me.

I am now living like a **** in my own complex as my number is disconnected and I have to stay outside the gate waiting for someone to come out because my number is not working. Weeks back I was nearly hijacked when ********* charged into my car at the gate and my police file number is *** which refer to my mishap. I am constantly late in trying to fetch my kids at school for the month because of the same inconvenience.

Through it all I remained calm and factored in the current difficult covid working conditions. I have phoned with my own money for more than 14 occasions and every time I get the same response which is wait for 2 – 24 hours it will work. But nothing has happened. I am giving you notice that I will be writing to the ombudsman with regards to this issue.

Your incompetence has put my life in danger and has also taken away precious time in my kids schooling. This has also caused excessive account bills from your side which have been deducted from my account. My wife last week took 2 annual leave days so she can receive the call from a so called manager so my phone can be activated.

Despite all of this incompetence continues from your staff. I will also be sending the contents of this email to all social media platforms because you guys are not caring that my sim is fixed. I regret the day I ever joined Telkom which does not have coverage. I was duped that the sim will work anywhere but I ended having to buy “all network” data as the normal data does not even work. I have many associates and friends who will be surprised that my life was put in danger because I was stuck outside gate because of you incompetence.
