Bad service from Telkom in response to my roaming issue for non-contract subscribers

I am South African who works in Namibia, after spending some time here and seeing how South Africans are being milked on Data/minutes upon returning last year 2017 in September I ported from Vodacom to Telkom since they had packages almost similar to the service provider I use when I am in Namibia so it was an obvious choice for me to port to them. I ported my number to them and immediately started enjoying those benefits, a few days after porting I called their call center and enquired about roaming services to which I was told that Telkom does offer them, then came January after the December holidays and it was time to go back, the last call I made was between the Botswana/RSA border and then the phone started showing "emergency calls only" which I thought maybe it was because it's the first time and this issue persisted, every day checking the phone hoping I will be having a signal but it was never the case. I then remembered that I had liked their page on Facebook. I logged on to Facebook wrote on their messenger and got no response, a few days later I got a response and explained my issue. Unfortunately the Facebook consultants don't write their names only initials, so a consultant by the initials "MG" responded and he said from their records he can see that I am not on contract and Telkom only offers the roaming service only to contract subscribers, which got me upset because my previous service provider being Vodacom offered it to all their subscribers. He then said I will be sent a form to fill allowing me to roam via SMS, I then waited for the form to be sent and never received. Realising that I wasn't getting a response I went to their website got an email address and sent an email explaining my situation, again no response yet after sending the email you get a message that says a copy of your email has been sent to your mailbox, I checked my mailbox, again nothing, then I sent another email, still no email in my mailbox and still no response. The I went back to the Facebook messenger I wrote again and this time a consultant with the initials "RC" responded, explained my situation again, he asked for the cell number in question which I provided, with the hope that he would tell me a different story then he tells me exactly what the other consultant had already told me. I was infuriated by the fact that it seems like when you log an issue whoever consultant gets it doesn't brief the next consultant. The issue I have is 1: this number in question is connected to my bank facilities and other services that report whenever there's movement on my accounts; 2: In South Africa if one's number is inactive for 3 consecutive months the network terminates services for it then it's given to another client. I don't know if Telkom understands the implications of losing a number. If I knew this was the case I would have joined maybe MTN or Cell C since they offer roaming to all of their subscribers contract and non-contract, even MTC (service provider in Namibia) offers the roaming service to all subscribers, I have a their number (non-contract) and I use it even when I am in South Africa without any issues. To date my number is non operational. Telkom needs to change this ridiculous policy and start listening to clients. To me they're like taxis cheap but very deadly to their clients. Disappointed
