BAD service from Telkom and Openserve
I have had a 4meg ADSL line for the past few years. Last year around November the speed went down to 2meg and Telkom fixed it and I had 4meg again. Around February this year I had the same issue and once again it was repaired. Since June 2018 the speed dropped again to 2meg and now I am told that I am too far from the exchange, why??? The "specialists" that Openserve employ do not seem to be educated it people s****s and customer service as they are quite obnoxious. They do not seem to be educated on copper cable fault finding. They do not seem to be educated on how LTS calculates the distance from the exchange. They do not seem to be educated on how the SNR is calculated and how conditions on a copper cable influences the SNR and the distance calculation. One of the Openserve technicians have proved that there is a problem on the v-side to the DP, but the "specialist" do not believe him. Why don't they just restore my ADSL service to the 4meg that I am paying for? If they can't then Telkom needs to re-imburse me for the past few years that I have been paying for a service that I can't have, according to the "specialist". There also do not seem to be any technical structure at Openserve as I have not had any conversation with any manager or person of authority. Looks like they want to force people to cancel their ADSL service and move to another supplier.
