Bad service from Samsung and Telkom
I purchased S8 Plus on contract with Telkom and the consultant did not inform me that we needed to register with Samsung care service within 30 days of purchase - R69 per month - to cover screen repairs. ONLY to find out that i have to pay R5500 to replace my screen. After inquiring what options we have to become registered for this service we are told there is nothing that can be done and we have to pay the R5500!!!
I find this totally unacceptable customer service as i was not informed that this service even existed. What I know is that all sumsung phones you get 2 free screen replacement because i got a replacement for my note 5. Why are we not informed upon purchase. Why are we not even given the opportunity!Telkom consultants didnt even tell me about the insurance of which they must disclose but they are all clueless on the product they are selling. They are only after making sales
WHY must I be made to pay for your mistake? This goes against the customer protect act!
I have always been Samsung client but now I'm shocked that sumsung is not even advertising the insurance to make sure everyone is aware of the changes when introducing the new changes on the new phones or on even stating anything about insurance on their bill boards as most customers are under the impression that their screens are covered . I'm honestly disappointed and dissatisfied! I just can't believe Samsung would do this! If I knew I would have purchase an iPhone or hauwei as they offer screen replacements and good quality phones.
When I went to find out at a telkom shop in Eastgate they also didn't know but referred me to samsung. Honestly how can they not know this as it is very important to disclose when selling. I guess it's my loss I have to deal with it
