Bad Service from billing and technical.

Ive been having an issue with my adsl from telkom since The begining of August 2017,

First of all, they have my cellphone number attached to 2 different accounts. One is mine based in Durban so a 031 number, Other is one ********** based in cpt 021 number. And they wont remove my number from the 021 account as im not the account holder.

2nd from August 2017 my adsl has been giving me huge issues with lots of disconnects and really slow sync speeds. Fault ref was ********** 3. It was the attributed to a bulk cable fault which took my internet down from end of August till early December, It was perfect for a day or so then started having issues with bad SNR and attenuation values so slow sync and lots of micro disconnects. I left it as i saw they were still working on the cables on the road, I decided to contact accounts department on 6th December to get a credit for no service. Case number ********** 5. As of today have not heard anything about it but it is a blessing so to speak.

3rd Issue, to my knowlage the bulk cable fault has been sorted and havnt seen any technicians around working on the cables where i live but my line is still extremely bad, paying for 8mb line it syncs at 6mb and has alot of micro de-syncs so streaming and playing games is a no go. youtube works sort of ok but anything else nothing. So 27 December i contacted Telkom to log a fault, Ref number ********** 6. knowing it was End of December and im not going to force people to work over holidays i left it at that hoping it will be sorted, Today 18 January 2018 i contacted telkom In regards to Fault ********** 6 and low and behold.. its at testing center still nearly a full month after the fault was reported. They have escalated it apparently ********** , but i am tired of assuming when it comes to telkom. I am getting tired of paying for a service and not getting what i paid for it is a disgusting practice of the biggest land line monopoly in South Africa.

I am going to looking at alternatives as it seems paying for a wireless service knowing it may be terrible is better than paying for a cabled connection that should have little to no issues.

I am if by the end of this week i havnt heard anything i will be canceling service and telling friends and family of the alternative i found that i will be changing to.
