Bad service, does not want to take responsibility for their mistakes

I, JE Burger, as your client is very unhappy with some of the service that I have received from several of your staff since Friday, when I started phoning about the problem that I had.

On Friday morning, I received the notification in the right side corner of the computer that I have received the limit of the soft cap of 20G which I get every month. A bit confused that I have reached that already for the second month in a row. The same happened at the end of May but this was closer to the end of the month, so that did not bother me.

But happening for a second month, I thought that somewhere must be a problem. Even looking at the data that was used when watching Showmax which was not even 20G. Phoning to the technical apartment just after 8 am on Friday, we realized that the TI Entertainment Bolt Add On option that I have taken out in the middle of March – TIN ********** – was never linked or activated to my account by the person who helped me. Meaning that every time that we watched Showmax on the DSTV Explorer it went of the Softcap data that I have every month. I was talking to so many people including Comfort, who gave me a reference – ********** , then I spoke to Carlynn, then to Nasibelo, but still no one could tell me if the Add on option was activated or not, or you get through to Technical Department, they cannot help, then you go through to Sales Department, then they say it is accounts, I went forth and back to the various departments as the people keeping on transferring me. At a stage I did not know to whom to talk anymore and a gentleman Sipiwe helped me as I refused to go through to another department as I have been on the phone for nearly an hour. Between him and the supervisor that he talked to, they said the only option was to cancel the TI Entertainment Bolt Add On that I had at the moment – TIN ********** – and to replace it with another one, which they did, Sipiwe then linked and activated to my account, for that I say thank you very much, order number received was ********** 87A

In the meantime I was paying for the TI Entertainment since April but it was not utilised. I did speak to the Account department this morning, they will pass me a credit for those amounts – reference ********** 4 received from Cindizwe

But now my main problem is that I don’t have any data left for the month and I refuse to Top Up my account as this problem is not my fault. Why must I pay for a mistake that was done on Telkom’s side. I need data to get through the week for the internet usage as I run a business from home and do not have the necessary internet access at the moment. Today I spoke to Zinati, Tyron and Yondela, and my problem is still not solved. If I mismanaged my data usages I can understand it, but this is not my fault.

Can I bill Telkom for loss of business for the time period that I could not go on the internet?

Is it so difficult to take the problem and make it yours and see how you can help your client, and not just say sorry we can’t help you but we can add a Top Up to my account but that I the client will be liable for the amount. And stop making excuses that there is a protocol to be follow, what about the client. Do you know how it is sounds if the staff transfer the client from the one department to the other, in the first place it is very but very frustrating and the in second place it sounds that the staff does not know what they are doing.
