Bad service and poor communication

I took out my very first cell contract in January 2015 at the Telkom store in Vincent Park, East London. Firstly, it was never explained to me that there was a R200 activation fee, Secondly, it was also never explained to me that I would pay pro-rata for the month January with my February debit order. I signed a contract for R399 per month and that is what I expected to pay but this was not the case.

I took out an additional contract for my mother around October 2015 and then to find out that there is a spend limit on the contract that was obviously never explained me (the spend limit by the way, Telkom just decides their amount). And then to put the cherry on top, when I decreased the spend limit I was informed that the decreased amount will only be effective from the 1st of the following month.

But wait there's more.... I was contacted in November 2016 to upgrade my contract. The consultant on the phone did not inform me that I would be paying double for December 2016 and January 2017 for the "old phone" and the new one. And they also added a R500 SPEND LIMIT without my knowledge... the decrease of this spend limit will of course only be effective from 1st February 2017 (what a joke).

They are very quick to sign you up and lock you into a contract but never explain the important parts of the contract. If all of these were explained to me, I would not have had a problem. Telkom consultants need to learn proper communication.

I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY CONTRACTS AGAIN WITH TELKOM!!! THEY HAVE *****ED ME OVER TOO MANY TIMES.
