Bad Service and no communication
I require your assistance with an issue i have been experiencing with Telkom.
On the 30th of March 2019 Telkom "according to them" did deductions on my account, our agreement with them is for them to do deductions on the last day of the month. So on the 31st March i waited for the deductions to go through nothing happened and that was Sunday and i thought since it's weekend they will deduct on Monday the 1st April 2019,the following day nothing happened and i called in on the 1st of April they advised me to check my bank statement cause on their side it's showing the debit order went off on the 30th March i asked since when it goes a day before my deduction date and the guy i spoke to couldn't answer me. I checked my bank statement and nothing shows that Telkom tried debiting on the 30th March according to them. I called in again in the afternoon around 14:00pm and i spoke to Akhona Mosoang and i asked him what happened to my debit order cause it was suppose to deduct on the last day of the month of March it didn't and today is the 1st April nothing still and i told him the guy i spoke to this morning advised me that my debit order went off on the 30th March and i advised him that was not our arrangement, it's suppose to go off on the 31st March, Akhona advised me that on my March statement i was advised that my debit order will go off on the 30th March due to the last day of the month is falling on weekend... funny thing is the 30th of March was on a weekend Saturday and i advised Akhona that i don't get my mail statements on time i always get them late, cause if i got them and saw it on time this wouldn't have happened.
I asked Akhona since this happened am i going to be charged interest charges he said yes R202 charges, i disputed that charge fee cause as i explained to Akhona that i get my statements late i was not aware that the deductions will happened on the 30th March and if they don't deduct on weekends how come they were able to deduct on Saturday cause Saturday it falls under weekend,he couldn't answer me he asked me to put me on hold will ask him manager to dispute these charges. I hold for more than 20minutes if I'm not mistaken he came back and said he's sorry his manager said it can't be done cause i disputed this query after the deduction date, I asked Akhona how can i dispute something that I'm not aware of cause I'm the one who called in and found out why my dedit order didn't go off on our arrangement date that's how i knew about this now, I asked Akhona to speak to his manager please he said he will get her... he put me on hold again for few minutes and came back saying his manager Lerato Boleo will reverse the charges after the 3rd April their back offices will reverse it so on my April statement it will show. I ended up paying my Telkom account at Spar over the till, Akhona advised me to call back after the 3rd to check if the query is done.... i called again and the guy i spoke to i forgot his name but I'm sure on Telkom records it shows who i spoke to advised me that it doesn't show yet the dispute that i was promised it will show on the May byling cycle after the 3rd so i must call again.
Yesterday i called and spoke to Mduduzi Mposula and i asked to speak to the manager name Lerato Boleo and he put me on hold for more then 20 minutes as well and came back she went home already and that was after 4pm,i asked Mduduzi to send Lerato a email asking her to get back to me at 10:00am on my break time till nothing i haven't heard anything from Lerato.
Kind regards Miss Nomava Samantha Kinase
