Bad service
Good day I am writing this as a very upset user, On 17 April 2025 when I arrived home I came to find that my wifi is not working, I called telkom and the Lady said she is not able to assist me as the system is offline, I called back on 20 April and a gentleman told me that my account has been blocked due to me being over my credit limit, I could not understand how this is possible as my account is up to date as it gets paid via debit order, he then explain that my credit limit is R1500 but my bill due for end April is R1600, firstly according to my knowledge my bill should be R1500 as I have cancelled the prime subscription that was also added to my account without my consent, I was also not aware of what my credit limit is or that I even have 1. He then advised that I pay R102.50 to bring it back to R1500 and then called back to increase my credit limit. I made the payment the same night after much struggle, as the payment methods he suggested did not work I then EFT the money, the money only reflected on the 24th. I then visited a Telkom branch to increase my credit limit and have my account unblocked in order to use my wifi and data. The gentleman then advised he has to log a case for both as they do not deal with it on the store. Later that night i called the call centre again to see if they are not able to assist me. To which I was advised that he too can only log a case the reference number provided was ***7. Today is the 27th so it will be day 10 that my lines have been cut without a warning but come end of the month Telkom wants their money for a service I did not receive! I am furious and will be taking my business away once the contracts end. I needed to get myself a prepaid sim card and airtime just to be active and everyone to get hold of me.
Telkom this practice is bad!
