Bad service

I went to Telkom mobile to open a new contract at 17h30. The shop closes at 18h00 so I was told I came late they want to do their cash up. If the shop closes at 18h00 how is coming 30 minutes before late? Unless opening a new account takes hours. I was then told to come tomorrow, as a new client how do I trust Telkom mobile with this kind of service before I even open a contract?
