Bad Service

On the 15th July 16, I went to open a phone contract due the current phone that has been giving me problems. As a customer one needs to be consulted and given advices by the sales agent about the needs. I took an I Phone 5s that is costing R259 per month. I asked the agent to change/port/transfer my current no. to an IPhone and enjoy the benefits of the contract. The agent adviced me that it would take 48hrs to activate my no. I went along with the advice until Sunday when I revisited the store when I met up another agent, Nkele, whom I asked for Thabo and she said Thabo was out, then she took my no's promising that Thabo will call me back. I waited for the call and to no luck. I went to the store the following day at 18:45, then I met up with Nkele again and she said Thabo didn't come back because his car was overheating. She then promised me to pass the message. Again I waited for a call the next day and nothing happened. Seeing that I was taking my wife to the doctor, I then decided to pass at the shop. It was around 13:00 when I entered the store and met up again with Nkele, then it when she said she gave the no's to Thabo to call me, I was stunned that she claimed to have given Thabo my no's in the afternoon and she didn’t make her priority to give Thabo the numbers first thing in the morning (Such bad attitude by Nkele). I stood on the queue till it was my turn, Thabo was there, that's when he checked and said I did not explain very well that I wanted to use or port the no. He seemed to be putting the blame on me, until he explained that if I want to do "a number change" I must go back to Cell C to request my number to be change back to the original no. (Cell C) seeing that it was my original sim. I went to Cell C, and then a sales agent told me that it is supposed to be Telkom that fixes the whole mess. I phoned the Telkom call centre and spoke to a lady, Happiness. She then told me that the agent (Thabo) was not honest enough about the whole transaction and advised me to go to another nearest Telkom store. We rushed, with my wife as sick as she is after she has seen the doctor, to Kolonade, Montana. It seemed to be promising judging from the response I got from call centre agent. We got there and I was helped by Solomon who told me that the case will solved if he log a case to technical dept. I told Solomon that I spoke to Happiness (Call Centre Agent) that she advised me to go to another branch to be helped. I phoned again the call center and requested Happiness, I spoke to her and she said she wanted to speak to the Agent at the shop, she adviced the agent that he must log a case. After getting back to me, I wondered that I had to drive 20km for logging a case instead of going back to Wonderpark Mall which is closer to my house and on top of all risking my wife's health for a case logging. The case logging was done ( ********** ). Now this is a case of negligence, no consultancy, bad attitude and wrong information given by all of your consultants. As an existing customer of Telkom, I feel we are not being prioritized and undermined as a statistic. I feel you advertise your goods/products using bad customer service.

I am not happy with what have happened.

Reviewer Update

The branch manager called me to say he is waiting for his subordinates to write an email and had since not given me a response. All I have been getting is sms updates about logged quiry. I am left in a cloud on what's going on. This is pure bad luck made by Telkom.
