Bad for business

My wife went to port her number from MTN to Telkom mobile she did the port on the 29/07/2018 and only to find out today that MTN cancel the port cause they released the number to Telkom on the 29th and Telkom did not activate or respond to the request. My wife then did the port again today and she called MTN they say they released the number today when she contacted Telkom they again say MTN did not release the number as yet but she received confirmation from MTN that the number was release how can this issue be resolved
