Bad attitude & service from Cell centre reps

Hello team, we meet again due to your *********** call centre agents. It's great though because I feel like I have establish a relationship with you and prefer your service rather. You guys are far better than the call centre in terms of service delivery. Now let me break it down to you.

Long story short, my spouse was ****** on Tuesday afternoon so I decided to apply for a contract on the R349, 1G deal for the Samsung A8 through your Telkom website on Wednesday afternoon. I received a call from your sales consultant whom was kind enough to assist with the application. During the entire process she said that we will need to perform a credit check first before we can apply for any device or deal, so she did & told me that I was successful. She proceeded with the application which consisted of security questions & reading of the terms and conditions. In the end she told to wait for the delivery, etc. At the end of the call my understanding was that application was successful, I need to make available R349 which will be deducted within 2 days of the application & wait for my delivery. Later on the same day around 15:20 I received an sms stating that the application has been declined due to vetting process.

I called into the call centre (081180) about an hour ago and I was advised that there is no sign whatsoever that I app**** for a contract phone recently. We managed to figure out that I need to rather get hold of Telkom direct sales consultants instead so I managed to get through to that department.

The call was taken by Nondumiso (Ref: ********** 51) whom, very politely and calm, I asked for assistance with regards to the reason for the application being declined? At first she told me "It is due to the fact that I am owing on my existing contract". I responded by informing her that I am up to date with that account & the most recent debit order was on the 25th September 2018 for the agreed amount. She then said that she can't assist from her side then told me something about I haven't paid for the amount due on the 30th September 2018. I told her that we haven't reached the 30 September & she rep**** by telling me that the amount that was deducted on the 25th September hasn't reflected so I will need to call in next week to re-apply. I could tell by her tone of voice that she is getting agitated as i continued to make sense of this matter. I asked Nondumiso again why was i declined? She did not have an answer for me besides that I should re-apply next week. I then told Nondumiso that, "I doubt that even if I called in next week to re-apply, I would be successful because, once an application is declined Telkom sends an enquiry on my credit profile and that usually clears after 3 to 6 months. She told me that, "if that is the case then I should re-apply in 3 to 6 months". I found that response as well to be unprofessional & rude.

I do not have the energy to call again & attempt to resolve this matter with your call centre agents because of the bad attitude I often receive. Now I ask, what was the reason for the decline to my application?
