Bad after sales service and false advertising

Background:

App**** online for 10mb ADSL line Promo for 799 per month. Line installed on 11 April 2017. Usage started about 18 April 2017.

Complaint:

After my telkom line was installed and activated I got the internet working on an old router I had at home, as there was no stock of the new routers. My Telkom ADSL line and telephone line worked well until I returned from holiday on 24 April 2017 to notice the ADSL would not sync, Eventually after more than an hour on the phone, a fault was logged (434CWK250417). This was on 25 April 2017. Now day 14 and the problem has not been resolved. Furthermore, I then heard I can get an intergrated sim card, which is linked to my account. The connection was so slow (0.8mb download and 0.4mb upload) that it slowed down the devcies I connected to it. Now a few days later, the data on the intergrated sim is also depleted. What is the point of having a small amount of data (2GB) on a fai***** device linked to an uncapped account? This does not make sense. I use almost 1 gig a day.

Now what make this situation even worse, is that I received an invoice of overR1400 which I am now expected to pay by end of May 2017, yet my service has been down for longer than it has been working. What am I paying for?

I work from home 50% of the time, and decided to go with telkom ADSL for a reliable solution (as advertised) and to save money as mobile data is very expensive. But now I am still ending up buying expensive mobile data from another service provider and paying for a service from Telkom. Who is now going to pay for the extra money I am giving out.

Nobody can give me dates when the repair will actually be done. The Telkom box is in my street, and I see technicians working there all the time, and they tell me there are many faults in my area. For me that is a sign of ageing infrastructure that needs to be upgraded/replaced.

If I was the service provider, I would upgrade the problematic areas to newer technology (fibre) as this would save already paying customers alot of grief, instead of sending techinicians out everytime to look at the same fault.

It seems like once they have you committed to a contract, they really dont care. (*** Hulle, ons hel kla hulle geld) attitude. You just get the same reposonses all the time (We apologise for the inconvenience), but still pay us the money.

Telkom what I need from you:

1. I need to know why I should still pay the said R1400 for a service that only worked for 1 week as I dont think it fair I should pay it, and I am not planning on doing so.

2. Who is going to re-imburse me for the extra money I am now paying for the mobile data I didnt plan on buying?

2. What is the purpose of having a 2gb data cap on a fail over device which is linked to an uncapped account?

3. Providing a fai***** device that give you less than 1/10th the speed you are paying for?

4. What the hold up is regarding this fault?

5. Detail regarding what needs to be done, and when expected repair will occour?

6. Not to provide me with the same generic response, as they are all the same, and mean nothing. I have included my reference number in the body of this complaint.

Your soonest response would be appreciated.
