AVOID TELKOM WI-FI : UNAUTHORIED DEBITING OF BANKING ACCOUNT BY NUDEBT

<p>In 2013 a business belonging to my husband entered into a 36 month Telkom Wi fi contract stipulating that the signal needed to be aequate for the contract to be valid. 2 years down the line I still only had 2 bars, and Telkom chanhed my profile, setting it to automatically purchase data at out of bundle rates which landed me with R5 000 and R6 000 monthly bills o a R1299,00 contract. There is no warning from Telkom that your data bundle is depleted so ther is no way of you knowing that you are now going over to out of bundle rates. The bad signal together with the out of bundle rates problem pormpted me to cancel the contract with the required 1 month notice. Telkom ignored the cancellation an continued to debit my business account with the monthly subscription and I instructed the bank to return the debit order every time. Telkom then decided to hand me over to Nudebt to recover the subscriptions which Telkom was not entitled to due to the cancellation.</p> <p>For the first time this month, after calls and visits etc to Telkom I received a bill with a penalty fee for early cancellation. prior to this I have been threatened by Nudebt via sms's to pay the outstanding amount. Despite expalantions and supplying Nudebt with the documents, I am getting no repsonse from either Telkom or Nudebt. In addition to this Nudebt has informed me that they are handing ME in my personal capacity over to the credit bereaus for listing and they debited the company's banking account with R450,00 with no explanation. I am not even the member of the business and I have repsonded to Nudebt that legal action will be taken against them if they list me as they have no legal basis for doing so. No reponse from them.</p> <p>Avoid any dealings with Telkom. In addition to them not have signal in strategig places, if there is a problem, it is impossible to resolve. The people at Nudebt dont seem to know what they are doing either and they underatake to resolve issues with Telkom and you never hear from them again regarding a solution, just further threats. On what basis is ANYBODY authorised to debit a banking account without specifically being authorised to do so. i am sure it is *******.</p>
