AVOID TELKOM CONTRACTS AT ALL COSTS - DON'T EXPECT CLIENTELE LEGAL TO HELP
TELKOM MAY RUIN YOUR LIFE - ESPECIALLY THE POOR PEOPLE HERE IS WHY: YOU CAN BE BLACKLISTED FOR UNPAID SERVICES YOU DID NOT RECEIVED, OR FOR A CONTRACT YOU DO NOT HAVE. Please forward this to as many people you care about as possible TELKOM’S ADMINISTRATION IS CHAOTIC. If you have a contract with them that expires (now, or soon), get it in writing on an official Telkom letter that your contract expired - even if you are a pre-paid customer or on a month to month agreement (like I was and which was cancelled, but they did not cancel it on there “system”. TELKOM CAN RUIN ANY OF ITS CUSTOMERS as they can most probably use state resources to pay lawyers or debt collection firms, such as NuDebt, to get you blacklisted for their incompetence or their ******* systems. STOP USING THEM and make sure they do not have your detail – especially if you had a contract with them currently OR before. According to NuDebt, the debt collector used by Telkom, I need to proof that I did not have a contract, or, alternatively, that I cancelled it (even though I did not even have one). A debt collector such as NuDebt should know better, but they are probably paid by Telkom using our tax money. I my opinion NuDebt is a puppet that will accept payment without a conscious toward the customers of the company who pays them Telkom could not withdraw money from my bank with a debit order - which proofs that I did not have a contract - it part of their contractual agreements. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THAT and NuDebt should know that.. Their staff, in my case, probably keep on socialising after I cancelled my month to month usage agreement without capturing it on the system. I did not demand my cancellation in writing, and now they lay charges and handed me over to a debt collection firm (which, by the way, was too ashamed to tell me who they are). I told them everything and they still demand payment because Telkom is their client. I had an uncapped wi-fi month to month agreement until about 6 months ago. Although it was called "uncapped”, it was most of the time "non-existent", and I cancelled. Even on the day I informed them in the Secunda Telkom shop that I will unplug the router and will not use it anymore, the Telkom shop did not even have an internet connection. After a long discussion (I wait in a line for 3 hours while they socialize with their friends) they took my information and write it down. At home I unplugged the router, but THEY still posting me a bill for a subscription (I did not have) AND data (which was impossible as I disconnected the line) for more than 6 months. II did not about the bills as I don’t use the post office service anymore. Telkom did it **********ly as they did not have a debit order WHICH IS NORMALLY REQUIRED WITH A CONTRACT.
