Avoid Telkom at all costs!

Billing dept is absolutely pathetic! We cancelled our account in writing with more than the required 30 day notice period. Landline was not disconnected so forwarded all the correspondence again & as we hadn’t used the phone after cut off should have been done, weren’t paying additional rental for following month’s period. Despite numerous phone calls - which with Telkom take hours as one waits forever & then gets the run-around - and resending of documents we today 5 months later revive another account with interest added. I might add we have acquired a new account number since the cancellation, but this is beyond pathetic!!
