Attempted assault

I went to my parents to check as there was suspicious person around the property. Upon arrival a telkom van was blocking the driveway gate. The technician was standing at the pedestrian. I then identified myself and asked what he is doing there. He first ignored me, after approaching him he responded rudely and said I don't need to tell you anything,I am F....ing working. This was the wrong way to address anyone. I asked to see his I D and he refused. When I asked for his name he also refused to give that, he told me to call telkom and give them the number plate(DT 28 ST GP)and they will tell me who he is. I was trying to call granny or our helping to ask weather the man was working there and he kept yelling and being rude. He kept saying I don't have to tell you anything. When I tried to get passed him to gain entry to my property he tried to grab my collar. He then tried to punch me a few times. I eventually pushed him towards his van. A passing neighbour stopped and helped calm things down. We had a ******* last year where guys dressed as municipal workers in a municipal van held up my dad at the same house.
