ARE TELKOM STAFF SELLING EMAIL PASSWORDS?
After having discovered a ***** in terms of my email addresses I immediately contacted Telkom to change my email password. Imagine my shock and horror when your consultant tells me to give him the new password. When I told him this was highly irregular and I would contact Head Office to find out if this was normal practice, he said it was fine, he would send me the Telkom generated password, but it would be very long (which of course it wasn't) and added that they cannot share passwords, as they would get into trouble. Really? You could also get into trouble for robbing a bank. Doesn't mean that people don't rob banks. I now feel **********ly insecure, even with the Telkom generated password. ARE TELKOM STAFF SELLING EMAIL PASSWORDS? The original problem was that somebody had managed to add a new email address to my existing email addressed using my Telkom password. In addition there does not appear to be one day in any given week now that I am not receiving emails from "**** Telkom" asking me to click links.
