Application Information do not match

I have app**** for a phone contract 2 weeks ago at Telkom after giving the full info required, my phone has not reached me i inquired in the same week to find out when my phone will be ready they tell me yesterday that the Application Information do not match now i must go to a store. I would like to know why do they advertise something on phone finder, have an agent call you then put your private info at risk and still ask you to go to the store. This is unexceptable i need to know why must i still go to the store?
