Application for Land Line

<p>I app**** to have a voice land line installed at my property on 28 July 2016, I was informed a technician would come on site to install line but then got a call a couple days later and was told there was a strike and they would reschedule. To this date I never received a call back so today I phone Telkom to ask what was happening, I was informed that they cannot install a fixed line at my property only a wireless solution which is not what I ordered and will not work as I am only getting the line to get ADSL. When I placed the order I asked if the service was available in the area and was told yes, they took my deposit and was told it should be installed within 14 working days. Additionally one of my neighbours has just had a fixed line installed at their property. There is a Telkom line running along the back fence of my property so it cannot be that there is no infrastructure in the area.</p>
