Appalling Service

My Telkom line (Landline Telephone and ADSL Line) at home where I have a medical office went out on Friday 6 January 2017. I reported this fault online to Telkom on Sunday 8 January 2017 when this was discoverd (Landline number 011 ********** ***). On Wednesday 18 January 2017 at lunchtime I was phoned from our estate that Telkom was there to fix the lines. I made special arrangements with patients to rush home (20km) to meet the Telkom technician. He was not able to fix the fault because he did not have the necessart equipment with him to do so. We then arranged to again meet at my home on Friday afternoon 20 Jan at 2pm for the line to be fixed. This also necessitated cancelling a whole afternoon of patients. The Telkom technician did not arrive as scheduled. On Sunday morning 22 Jan while I was with my family in Pretoria I received a call from or estate security to tell me that the Telkom techician arrived to fix the lines - without appointment or prior arrangement. As of today 26 January 2016 both my Telkom landline and ADSL line has been out for almost three weeks with no further sign of Telkom. I certainly feel that this service to a medical practitioner/practice is the worst I have ever experienced.

Best regards,
Since my last posting above on Hellopeter I have had several calls from Telkom with promises to fix my Telkom line. (Telkom Escalation Ref 13270). I also had two visits from Telkom technicians. The last Telkom technician attended to the line on Tuesday 28 February 2017. He claimed to have sorted out the line inside my office, however another technician will now attend to the problem on the outside street areas. Whereas previously I had no telephone line with periodic ADSL signal he has now successfully cut off both my landline as well as ADSL line. This effectively means that my medical practice has been without a telephone line for 2 months (from Friday 6 January 2017) and now for the last week without both telephone and ADSL lines. This continues to highlight the disgraceful and poor service from Telkom. I wish all the public to take note of this kind of service from Telkom and therefor will continue to post on Hellopeter.
