Another cancellation nightmare/rude customer service

I've been trying to get my Telkom land line cancelled since March. I did it using the online portal, provided all the information and uploaded the necessary documents. Didn't hear anything back.. Logged another cancellation request in April, same thing, didn't hear anything back. Logged yet another request, for the 3rd time, in July. Same. Thing. Nothing.

I'm still getting billed every single month since the first cancellation request was submitted. I'm so glad I didn't set up a debit order on my account.. I refuse to pay a single cent. I did my part, I can't help that Telkom didn't do theirs. On all 3 occasions.

Eventually someone contacted me in August, saying that I need to pay up until August and then submit a new cancellation request. Is this a joke? Are you serious? Anyways. I rep**** and said I'm not paying. It's convenient how they only reply on the latest cancellation request that happened in July. The other 2 requests just.. Vanished?

So, I have been sending/replying to emails from Telkom for the past month now, every time it's a different agent, saying the same stuff over and over and they will escalate the query, blah blah.

A lady from East London phoned me today, saying she is from Telkom. I unfortunately couldn't catch her name, but she said she will contact me again. This must be the most unpleasant/rudest person I've dealt with from Telkom. I didn't raise my voice. I wasn't snappy. I explained the situation as well as my frustration to her, but no. She kept interrupting me, raising her voice, terrible attitude and then she even put the phone down in my ear.

How is that for service??

I'm seeing/hearing of so many people having issues cancelling their services with Telkom. You guys need to seriously wake up. I for one will never use Telkom again.. ever. Nor will I recommend anyone either. Absolute terrible service and rude customer service.

I just received an sms as i'm typing this saying that my case has been resolved.. Say what? Resolved? How?

Now i'm just waiting for this lady to phone me back. Whenever that will be. Probably next year?
