Annoying threats after canceling account

I am in the process of going overseas on a 4 year student visa.

In December, I cancelled my telkom LTE account and recieved an email from the four ways crossing branch stating that I must return the email when I am ready to cancel.

While I was in Australia, I sent the email but it did not get through to them? So when I arrived in S.A on the 23rd January - I started to get sms about account outstanding.

I have been to the four ways crossing branch every week since then to try find a solution, then on Tuesday I was told that it will be settled by Thursday the 23rd at 14.50 pm

But now I get an email from them stating :

NuDebt Management ********** via eversrv.com
11:12 AM (8 hours ago)

to me

24 February 2017
Your reference: ********** 78070

Good Day, MILTON
Outstanding Telkom Account
We act on behalf of our client, Telkom SOC LTD, and have instructions to address this letter to you.
You indebted to Telkom with R 999.03 exceeding 20 business days, for telecommunication services and/or any part thereof, rendered to you.
You are hereby notified in terms of Regulation 19(4) of the National Credit Act, Act 34 of 2005 of the under mentioned credit grantors intention to adversely list the under mentioned outstanding account on the various Credit Bureaus.
Please note that this amount is now long overdue and you are hereby notified that the above outstanding amount should be paid within 72 Hours no later than (Tuesday, 28th February 2017).
You are hereby warned that the listing of your name will have serious consequences should you wish to obtain any other credit in the future.
