Annoyed customer - Number ***

Good Day

Account number339 608 475

I am writing this review on my husband's account as I don't officially have a hellopeter account.

After numerous attempts in trying to close my Telkom Wifi Router Account as I had found a better alternative and the frustration in getting this done I have now decided to take this further.

On 27 September I had a conversation via telephone with a Telkom consultant informing her of my frustrations in closing my account. We then came to a finalization that if I settled the outstanding amount of R2078,93 I would no longer owe Telkom any further money and that my account would be closed. To make matters worse is that I was unable to use the data I was paying for the months of August & September. So, after the conversation I was under the impression that my account was finally closed, only to receive an invoice from Telkom to say I owed them R599,19. I then went to a Telkom store (Bryanston shopping centre), upon looking onto my account the gentleman that assisted me informed me that according to the system my account was closed on 27 September. The store then contacted billing who and we were then cut off as the store's phone battery died. The store then logged a helpdesk query and I was contacted. A very unhelpful lady then told us to call cancelations which the store assistant did from my phone. I then had to go through the entire process again and was then eventually informed that my account was closed and my sim cancelled and was given a reference number ***A). I was then transferred to billing and told to ask for the payment to be reversed. After explaining this to the gentleman, know the 4th time in one day, I was informed that my contract was still active and I had received the data and thus needed to pay for it. I eventually ended the call informing the gentleman that I would pay the balance, as long as I would never receive another invoice or bill and that my account would officially be closed, which he refused to confirm.

I then asked the Telkom store assistant if I could pay and was told that I had to go pay at Checkers - how frustrating and annoying - if you are providing a service and clients can't pay in store but need to pay elsewhere. I then went to pay the account and am now awaiting feedback from Telkom to officially confirm that I have paid for data until the end of November that I am unable to use as the account has been closed and the sim cancelled. How are you going to justify this payment for a product I am unable to use.

I hope for a suitable reply shortly.

Reviewer Update
Once again after spending hours in a Telkom store in Bryanston, paying the requested amount for my account to be settled and receiving e-mail confirmation that my account has been paid up and settled Telkom have again debited my account for a service I have been unable to use since August. What further must a person do to get this sorted other than take legal action and report them for *****. Upon trying to contact them to report this the contact person just simply put the phone down on me. This is pathetic and outrageous. I have written a previous review without any feedback or reply.
