Amogelang Motjela (Great Service) vs Portia Magono (Poor Service)

I have been a Loyal Telkom customer for 6+ years and I have never received a 10/10 customer service when dialing with Telkom until...

Before I praise the following lady (Amogelang Motjela) for the best service I ever received let me explain a typical example of how poor Telkom customer service can be when dealing with people that don't respect their Jobs (Portia Magono)!!!

So Telkom has a new mandate whereby no EFT payments can be made and therefore, I requested for assistance to update my current Banking Details on my account and the first person I spoke to said I should hold, so she can check my profile on the system but honestly she didn’t not sound confident in want she was doing and boom the line cut which I suspect that she did it on her side but I did not get a name but that is an example of the poor service provided by Telkom.

Nevertheless, I called again, and Portia Magono answered. She too seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing however this time the attitude made me so upset that I gave her a mouth full which can be heard on the recordings. I then told her to direct me to her manager and she said he was busy so I should provide her with my contact details to call me back and I told her if she does not then I will write a review and guess what! NO ONE CALLED BACK!!!

I then contacted the Next day and the first lady also didn’t know what to do so I just got fed-up and dropped to call again and maybe be lucky to get hold of someone that loves their job. To my luck I got in contact with Amogelang Motjela. I currently have flu so I sound very sick over the phone but this lady brightened up my day and the way she was so joyful, respectful and loveable, I praised her for her assistance and yes she manged to assist me. I also gave her words of in arrangement and I hope Telkom upskill their workers to be more like Amogelang Motjela!!! She deserves a week off with pay and a promotion because you can hear in her voice that this is not her first time giving great customer service but as for Portia Magono, she has to go for disciplinary hearing or let go so that other people that need jobs can have Her’s sad to say but that is why our country is falling due to lazy useless people like her fullstop!
