Am I crazy to place any faith in Telkom as an internet service provider?

Trying to migrate my ADSL Telkom line to fibre. Vumatel proceeded to install the fibre to my home, on instruction of Telkom. Now the activation of my line (fibre) is proving to be quite a mission. I literally call everyday, except for weekends and I am told everyday that my order has been cancelled and escalated to a manager. A manager will call me back in 24 to 48 hours. Weeks later, and still no manager calls. Today, I spoke to one honest person, who told me that process when a customer asks to speak to a manager, is to make every excuse about a manager not being available - they in fact make no effort to get a manager - and then instead to fill out a "complaint" or "request" for a manager to call back. According to this person, the list is either too long, or the manager just never follows up anyway. You will however receive a daily reference number - sometimes this number is just made up and has no meaning at all - or else the new agent you speak to, will just advise that they cannot view or see any details regarding the reference number you provide. I guess this is a specific approach to then not delivering any kind of service at all. Just blame the person who last spoke to the customer, for not capturing any detail. The fact that the person who spoke to you does not exist - they do give false names - means that you will go round and round in circles. You will never be given a manager's contact details , including e-mail address, because Telkom is not prepared to actually assist. Yes, they will gladly accept your money, but when you need assistance and service, it will certainly be on their terms only, if at all. I challenge any Telkom person who is committed to customer service and will to actually assist, to contact me or respond to this note. We can listen to call recordings to verify the accuracy of what I have to say above.
