All problems and no solutions
I’ve been a Telkom ADSL subscriber since October 2017, and the level of service from this company is absolutely pathetic. According to their records I’ve logged 10 service interruptions - this is incorrect as I have called 10210 at least once a month (I will pull my itemized billing as evidence).
I have a cable lying on the ground in my property, and despite several requests for this to be addressed, it has not been. Wires were exposed on this cable and were covered with tape only about 2 months ago. Every time that it rains I experience a service interruption. I have received a credit on my monthly payment on several months, as though this is sufficient compensation for not receiving the service which I am paying for, or the inconvenience that accompanies the service interruption.
According to the service consultant, Telkom escalates the resolution of an issue after it has been logged several times. I’m at number 10 (supposedly), at which point does this become a candidate for escalation; 20? 100? 1000?
The last reason provided for my recurring issue was that there is a problem with an underground cable. What does this mean? Will this be fixed? Is there a timeline for resolution? Is there a breach in this cable that gets water every time that it rains?
After 10 (again, not the correct number) call-outs to their technicians no solution has been found to my recurring issue. I suppose that I should be happy about the credit I received on my account last month (yet again) and be happy with this level of customer service?
